
SAMAGRA enhances salary of Vocational Trainers of JK
Srinagar, Aug 04: The directorate of SAMAGRA SHIKSHA Jammu and Kashmir has enhanced the salary of vocational trainers recruited before 2018 by two thousand.

According to an official release, “as per the communication received from the Ministry of Education, Government of India issued vide F. No. 7-2/202148.4 dated 07.07.2022, all the Vocational Training Partners presently engaged with SAMAGRA SHIKSHA J&K are hereby informed that the monthly salary of existing Vocational Trainers (engaged against the posts approved before AWP&B of 2018) has been enhanced from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 22,000 from the current Financial Year i.e. 2022-23.”

However, the vocational trainers who shall be engaged against the posts approved under AWP&B of 2019 and onward years shall continue to draw the monthly salary of Rs. 20,000 till further orders, it said.
it further said, “In this regard, I am directed to request all the concerned Vocational Training Partners to release the salary of existing Vocational Trainers at revised rates of Rs. 22,000 per month w.e.f. April 1, 2022. However, if the salary has already been released at pre-revised rates, the due arrears must be released on an immediate basis in favor of the vocational trainers.”
However, the vocational trainers who are on indefinite strike have rejected this enhancement by saying that our demand is the implementation of the Haryana model where the same teachers are being paid by thirty thousand.
Speaking to Rising Kashmir, President of the Vocational Teachers’ Association, Ghulam Jeelani, said that they won’t end the protest till their demands are met. He continued that they have also met the secretary of education, B K Singh, who has assured them he will look into the role of private partners.
The vocational teachers stated they are being pressured by the private companies that don’t part in the ongoing protest even of the female trainers has been terminated by the one of the company for speaking against the company.
They also said that “these companies are pressing upon the vocational teachers to given in written contest that they are satisfied with these companies are against the protests.”
SAMAGRA enhances salary of Vocational Trainers of JK – From 2016 till take these private companies have withdrawn billions of rupees and our demand is to remove these private partners, they said adding they were recruited after proper examination and there is was no enhancement from 2016 and now authorities has decided to enhance rupees two thousands that are not enough, vocational trainers maintained (SAMAGRA).
